Inflation is likely to remain a concern in early 2022, as the global economy works through remaining supply chain disruptions, Spartan’s Peter Cardillo tells WSJ. “We have one or two more months of inflation because we still have bottlenecks, but it will weaken in the 2Q of 2022.” Cardillo expects the Fed to stay on its hawkish course as labor markets climb towards maximum employment. “[The Fed] already lost credibility and it doesn’t need to lose more,” Cardillo says.
